Back in 2008 I had the pleasure of visiting the Gothic Malbork castle, which is one of my favourite places from my childhood. It’s located very close to Gdansk where I was born, just over an hour by train going south. Although I’ve been there on 4 separate occasions, I’ve never visited it during a weekday when it’s pretty much devoid of tourists. So when I got there  it was pretty much empty, with a ton of room to shoot photos and explore all the rooms and corridors without obstructions. My favourite moment was when I walked the narrow corridors around the building with the watchtower. It was super quiet, very breezy and beautifully creepy. Can’t wait to go back!

The castle complex itself is actually made up of three separate castles (High, Middle and Lower Castles) which are nested in one another and are separated by dry moats and bridges. It is also the largest castle in the world and the largest brick building in Europe.

I highly recommend visiting it if you are in the area

Here are some of my music photos from 2008 – 2010. I personally love shooting music related gigs. Being a musician myself, it really helps understand the vibe and allows me to really connect with the artists. What’s also wonderful is going behind the scenes and really experiencing the different personalities that make up the performing act. Definitely looking forward to working with more musical artists in the future.

Upon turning 2 years old, my God Daughter Claire insisted that she and her mother both wear pink coats and rain boots. It also started to rain inside so we had to take cover under a pink umbrella.

After all these years of living in Toronto, I finally got to see the blooming Sakura trees in Toronto’s High Park. Two thousand of these trees were presented to Toronto by the Japanese ambassador to Canada in 1959. It was a gift of appreciation for accepting re-located Japanese-Canadians after World War II.

Here are some remaining photos from last year which I haven’t posted. There is no real relation between any of them except the first three. Definitely looking forward to posting more images as soon as I get more projects wrapped up. Cheers, and hopefully you’re enjoying this wonderful year so far.

Hands down one of the best establishments in Toronto for live music. A $10 door cover charge will let you see one of the best bands in town….and maybe even in Canada, The Dave Murphy Band. They usually play Friday nights, so get there early if you want to get a good place to stand. That’s right, because most of the seats are likely all reserved in advance. If you’re a music lover, then you will definitely love the band and the place. Good times all around!

So here is my final post of the year. It’s been a great year and not only in the photography sense. Some of you may not know, but I also work as a 3D artist in the visual effects industry. I recently got a gig on two big feature films which will be coming out this summer. One being Jack The Giant Killer and the other Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Very exciting stuff. So yea, been quite busy recently……and I’m gonna be even more busy this summer with more weddings. Can’t wait!!!! Lots of good things are lining up

Sometimes it’s really hard to photograph the city you live in, mainly due to the fact that you see it everyday. My main goal here was to capture interesting compositions through shape, tone and contrast between shadows and light.

Been so busy recently that I had no time to update my page. I feel terrible!  So here are some remaining street shots from the summer.  What a great summer it was! Now it’s finally getting cold, and I would assume that we’re about to get our first real snowfall soon.  Not really looking forward to it, but it wouldn’t be Christmas without it. I’m also working on a small personal photography project which I will post as soon as it’s done. Cheers!
