It’s always such a pleasure to shoot a beautiful couple who’s super laid back and not afraid to take risks. On top of all of this, having an amazing backdrop such as the King’s College at the University of Toronto is surely a recipe for something special. This was the place where Marianne spent 4 years of her life as a student and felt it would be amazing to once more relive her memories on this special day. The weather was chilly, around 5 degrees celsius and there was little foliage to take cover from the bright sunny sky. However, Marianne mentioned that as a student she and her friends would often hang out in this little arcade nook. As soon as we got there I immediately knew this was it! It wasn’t the cleanest of places for a white dress but the lighting was perfect. At first I was a bit worried that she might be apprehensive about dirtying the bottom of her dress, but those were soon washed away. As you can tell, the playful and laid back nature of these two awesome people made the experience definitely worth it.
I have known these two for a very long time. Jakub and I both studied Traditional Animation back in college and have been really close friends since………….through thick and thin. They both recently moved to Montreal and so I figured it would be a perfect opportunity for an engagement session in the Old Town. However, the weather wasn’t co-operating for a full scale adventure, so we decided to do a short but sweet session on their amazing rooftop terrace. Turned out pretty cool I gotta say!
Beautiful wedding at the amazing Madsen’s Gardens Banquet Hall in Newmarket. The day was incredibly hot but with a little help from some alcohol and an awesome attitude, everyone persevered through the night. Lets not forget the “linen shirt” (inside joke :P). The dance floor was bumping at this one!!! Thanks Ashlea & Shaun for letting me be a part of this special day. And I would also like to shout out a big thanks to my second shooter, the talented Paul Krol.
Beautiful day for a Niagara on the Lake wedding in mid April, followed by an amazing reception at the Palais Royal in Toronto the following week. Thanks guys for letting me be a part of your special two-part day.
Beautiful wedding at Archeo in the Distillery District. Big thanks to my second shooter Paul Krol. Some of his shots are featured in this post. And of course, thank you Millena and Andrew for such amazing hospitality!
